Marianne Deschaines

B.S. Education - University of Maine

Marianne has lived in North Carolina with her son and daughter since 2000 and is currently teaching French at Laney High School. She is originally from northern Maine where French was the primary language in communities along the Canadian border.

Marianne graduated cum laude from the University of Maine with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and a concentration in French. She attended the University of Besançon, France where she had the opportunity to immerse herself in the French language and culture.

She hopes to inspire her students with her love of the French language and culture, and looks forward to traveling to France again soon.
