MA Educational Technology – North Carolina Central University

Bianca has always had a passion for teaching. She recalls “playing school” as a young girl while helping out at her mother’s daycare. She went on to become a North Carolina Teaching Fellow upon graduating from high school. She then graduated from the North Carolina Central University, located in her hometown of Durham, NC, in 2012 and again in 2014 earning both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree respectively. After college, Bianca began teaching 2nd grade at Durham Public Schools and then a private Christian school in the area. She taught kindergarten, 2nd grade and 4th grade during her tenure. In June of 2015, Bianca moved to Wilmington with her husband and joined the New Hanover County Schools staff. She has taught 4th grade for the past two years while working in the district. She’s enjoying her new home and meeting new faces. In 2016, Bianca joined Peak as an elementary tutor to continue to help grow young minds.
